Research Associate at the Socioeconomic Mobility Team, Myers-JDC-Brookdale (MJB), Israel’s leading center for applied social research.
Dr. Zoya Nissanov has been employed at MJB since 2025. Her main research area is socioeconomic mobility. Zoya has extensive experience in quantitative empirical research, with several publications in the international scientific literature, in the social sciences. In addition to her focus on mobility, Zoya specializes in the economics of poverty and inequality.
Prior to joining MJB, Zoya served as an advisor to the National Statistician at the Central Bureau of Statistics.
Zoya holds a BA in sociology and political science, and an MA and PhD in economics – all from Bar-Ilan University.
